The original Ford EcoSport was a capable compact SUV that debuted on the world stage before the segment started booming. That gives it a clear advantage over the competition - seniority. Now, the 2018 Ford EcoSport is entering a midcycle refresh that will put it one step ahead of the rest when it comes to performance, technology, and efficiency. Its compact size and great fuel economy, paired with the convenience and tech in its cabin, makes the Ford EcoSport a great everyday ride for commuting through Pittsburgh.
Front-wheel drive models come with the standard 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine, but if you bump up to the all-wheel drive, you get a more powerful 2.0-liter direct-injection four-cylinder engine. Fuel economy numbers aren’t yet released, but it’s expected to be incredibly efficient thanks to its light curb weight. Its wide stance and low center of gravity will also enhance handling and control on those tight city streets.
The infotainment system’s touchscreen comes with the option of floating 6.5-inch and 8.0-inch designs, through which passengers can access the innovative SYNC 3 system and all the connectivity features that go along with it, in addition to SYNC CONNECT with FordPass.
The 2018 Ford EcoSport is coming this fall with plenty of room inside for a family and their cargo. Keep an eye out for more news here at Shults Ford Harmarville.
