Ford Certified Pre-Owned Program

The age-old question: should you buy a new Ford vehicle or a used Ford vehicle? Weighing the pros and cons of that question can be a challenging process. Good thing there is a third option that for a lot of people can often break the deadlock.

Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicles are what happens when you take the benefits of buying new and the benefits of buying used and put them all in one package. Here’s what makes Ford CPO vehicles great…

Fully-Inspected

To even be considered for the CPO program, a vehicle must be no more than five years old and have no more than 80,000 miles on the odometer. Each candidate then undergoes a 172-point inspection.

Trained and certified mechanics perform a rigorous inspection, examining each major mechanical system. They also go over the condition of the exterior and interior. A road test is performed. If during the course of the inspection, a part needs to be replaced, Ford technicians replace it with a factory part.

The vehicle history is also taken into account, including the CarFax report. Ford looks at the scheduled maintenance history of the vehicle.

Warranty

Like new vehicles, Ford CPO vehicles come with a fantastic warranty. A comprehensive 12 months/12,000 miles warranty that covers more than 1,000 components. In addition, each CPO vehicle also comes with a seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty. For the duration of the powertrain warranty, Ford also offers 24-Hour Roadside Assistance.

So, remember, when searching for your next Ford vehicle, the Ford Certified Pre-Owned option may be just the option you are looking for.
